Gum (Gingival) Grafting

This procedure is used to repair recession (loss of gum tissue on usually "cheek" side of teeth often caused by traumatic tooth brushing) and to treat exposed, sensitive root surfaces. Additionally, gum grafting can replace stained soft tissues, usually from previous root canal surgery.

Patient has veneers for two central incisors.

Exposed roots are sensitive and unesthetic

Gum grafting procedure has successfully repaired recession, achieving coverage over exposed roots and augmenting zone of gum tissue.

Esthetics are also much improved.
